A Night Of Jazz and Sake Tasting

Berkeley’s Takara Sake is pleased to open their Tasting Room for an early evening of Sake tasting and Jazz with the Asian American Orchestra Quartet. The Grammy nominated Asian American Orchestra is celebrating their 20th year Anniversary of bringing the sound of Asian American Jazz to countless hundreds of thousands internationally. Their 2018 CD release and performances of GO FOR BROKE! A Salute to Nisei Veterans, and the world premiere of DOWN BY THE RIVERSIDE Requiem for a King featuring Dr. Angela Davis at the 2018 SF International Arts Festival highlight the 20th anniversary of the Asian American Orchestra.

For your listening pleasure, the Asian American Orchestra will delight you with a combination of Jazz and Japanese cultural instruments from the music of John Coltrane to their originals and Japanese classics.

Enjoy sipping some unique Sake, listen to Jazz and be inspired by giving the gift of Sake for the holidays.
